OBITUARY: John Ewbank died at the age of 73 on
the 18th of February, 2009. Mr. Ewbank was a prominent teacher at
Osawatomie High School from 1960 to 1967. He taught
American History and sponsored the yearbook. After his OHS tenure, Mr. Ewbank
taught in several schools and became a school principal in
Parsons and McCune, Kansas. After retirement, the Ewbanks moved to
Bartlesville, Oklahoma, where he and wife Nancy refinished
exquisite antique furniture and did artistic needlepoint.
In recent years John Ewbank fought a
difficult battle with renal cell cancer and congestive heart
failure, and died peacefully in his home in Bartlesville.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Ewbank, his mother, and
his sister and family. Submitted by his friend and
