UPDATE JUNE 27, 2006: Everything is moving along smoothly. The pictures for 1894-1929 are complete with the exception of five pictures that need plexiglass. Since GE Polymershapes is providing this at cost (and also cutting to size), we have to go to the end of the line when they have a backlog. We're not complaining! They are doing us a tremendous service. Today several volunteers came to help - Larry White, Raymond Borden, Jim and Fay Parker, and Milton Skeens (along with Leroy and Verna) finished installing some of the tracks, hung all of the older pictures (with the exception of the five noted above), and moved 1947-1964 to the middle school where they were disassembled and the glass and old frames were disposed of. We will now begin Phase Three of the project - cleaning and securing photos and taking final measurements before ordering more supplies. Click Here for some pictures! |
