UPDATE APRIL 5,2006:

We are ready to begin the picture renovation!

The frames and Plexiglass have been ordered. Osawatomie Court Apartments has generously provided us with Apartment #101.

On FRIDAY, APRIL 7, we will move the 15 pictures from the high school to the apartment. We could use a couple of strong-armed men (or ladies) to help with the move. If you are available, be at the high school loading dock at 10 AM.

OUR FIRST WORK SESSION WILL BE MONDAY, APRIL 10, at 10 AM at Osawatomie Court Apartments, Apt. 101 (use the front east entrance). Anyone wishing to help is welcome. We will discuss the plans for the project and divide into teams. One team will go to the Mill House RV Park on First Street to paint the wooden tracks which will hold the pictures. If you want to help with this, please dress accordingly - you will be working with oil-base paint. The other teams will begin dismantling the old frames. We have room for 7 work tables in the apartment, so 7 teams can be working at one time. We will clean and re-glue the individual pictures, which will then be placed under the original heavy glass for the glue to set.

We will just have to see how long this process takes. Possibly we can complete all 15 pictures at the first session.

We will meet again at a later date to add name labels and frames.
