UPDATE JULY 26, 2006: The Picture Project Committee is pleased to announce that the renovation of the senior class pictures 1894 through 1978 has been completed! We hope those of you in the Osawatomie area will take the time to stop by the High School to see our "new" photo gallery. These are the pictures that hang in the west end of the school between the cafeteria and the music rooms. We have been asked to help with the pictures in the flip displays near the gym, which we will do next summer when school is not in session. Some of the pictures need to be replaced, along with some of the plastic covering. This project could not have been completed without the generous donations we received, and the time and effort of volunteers. We have identified every photo hanging in the halls, added the names to hundreds of photos, and even added several years that were not previously displayed. There are several early years for which there are no pictures available. For these years, we have substituted a list of those graduates. We also compared the pictures to the "Lest We Forget" booklet to determine if there were graduates who did not have a picture. In those cases, we have added their names on their class picture. It was our goal to see that EVERY graduate of Osawatomie High School is represented. We have also added a framed list of donors and volunteers to recognize those who made this renovation possible. Be sure to say thank you to these people, for they have funded a project that effected every single graduate of OHS. |
