Graveside services for Bobby Lee Watson, 528 Pacific Ave., Osawatomie, were held Friday in Osawatomie Cemetery.

Mr. Watson, 59, died unexpectedly Monday, Nov. 28, 1994 in his home.

He was born July 15, 1935 in Osawatomie and his parents were Curtis Carmichael and Ocie Jewell Stanley Watson. He attended school in Osawatomie and was a 1953 graduate of Osawatomie High School.

Mr. Watson had worked for the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad and Frisco Railroad. He also worked at the Osawatomie State Hospital and in over-the-road trucking. Lately, after becoming desabled, he had worked at the Osawatomie Recreation Center.

He served with the U.S. Army from 1955 until 1959.

Among those preceding him in death were an infant son; a brother, James Watson; and a half brother, Roy Eugene Weaver.

Survivors include two sons: Gary Watson, Houston, TX and Paul Doug Watson, Spring Hill, KS; a brother, Merle Watson; a sister, Karen Waggoner, Humboldt; and five grandchildren.

The Rev. Wayne Ova officiated at the services. Military services were conducted by Hanlin-Kelly Post 2258 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Osawatomie. Arrangements were under the direction of Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home.
