LaVina Fay Robertson, age 73, of Osawatomie, Kansas died Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at her home.

LaVina was born October 5, 1933 at La Junta, Colorado. She was the daughter of Thomas and Mable Ann (Wilber) Lyons. She attended Central East Country School at Princeton. She graduated from Osawatomie High School in the Class of 1953.

She was married to James Clinton Robertson at Osawatomie, Kansas on May 22, 1953. They made their home in Osawatomie and became the parents of five children.

LaVina worked at the Holiday Manor nursing home in Osawatomie for 14 ½ years. She retired in 1993.

LaVina was first and foremost a homemaker. She felt great joy in taking care of her family.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Osawatomie. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Osawatomie.

She was preceded in death by her husband J. C. who died January 16, 2001, her parents, a brother John Lyons, and one granddaughter Ashley Robertson.

She is survived by three sons Rickey Robertson of Independence, Kansas, Gary Robertson of Hillsdale, Kansas, and Timmy Robertson of Osawatomie, Kansas; two daughters Vickie Obermeier of Osawatomie and Regina Fennewald of Stillwater, Minnesota; one brother Bob Lyons of La Junta, Colorado; her sister Olive Anderson of Vista, California; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
