Glen K.W. McCoach, 80, Belton, MO., a native of La Cygne and former resident of Osawatomie, died Monday, April 19, 1993, at Saint Joseph Health Center in Kansas City, MO.
He was born in La Cygne in Linn County on Nov. 26, 1912, the son of Jess Lee and Sadie Catherine Barrett McCoach.
He was married to Evelyn Keller on May 31, 1937, at Osawatomie.
He lived in Osawatomie before moving to Belton in 1965.
Mr. McCoach worked for the Arco Pipeline Co. for 34 years before retiring as a tour engineer in 1977.
He was a member of the Belton United Methodist Church.
He was an artist and , after retiring, pursued that hobby, as well as woodworking. He refinished old pieces of furniture.
Surviving are his wife, Evelyn McCoach of the home; a son, Brian K. McCoach of Overland Park; a brother, Troy McCoach of Osawatomie; a sister, Bea Knox of Menneapolis, Minn.; and a grandson.
Friends may call from 7 to 8 o'clock tonight, Wednesday at the George Chapel in Belton. Services will be at 10 am. Thursday at the chapel. Graveside services will be at 11:30 am at the Osawatomie Cemetery.
