V. Casto was born in Cole Camp, MO. December 8, 1910, and died January
15, 1963, at the Missouri Pacidic Employee's Hospital, St. Louis, MO.
At the age of three he moved with his parents to Osawatomie, where he lived during his lifetime. During his youth he started working for the Missouri Pacific Railroad in 1930, and worked continuously for them until his illness confined him to the hospital. In 1935, he was united in marriage with Helen Marie Lee. Two children woere born of this union, Pamela Ann, 13 of the home and Ramona Lee McDowell of DesPlaines, Ill. Surviving Mr. Casto besides his wife, Helen, and daughters are two sisters, Mrs. Blessing Gowing of Long Beach, CA and Mrs. Patricia Ferren, of Kansas City, one brother William N. Casto of San Jose, CA and a granddaughter Rochelle Dawn McDowell. Funeral services were held at the Osawatomie Baptist Church Saturday with Rev. George Snyder officiating. Graveside service and burial were in the Osawatomie Cemetery unter the direction of the Eddy Funeral Home. |
