Graveside services for Mildred L. Martin, Kansas City, Kan., will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Osawatomie Cemetery.

Mrs. Martin, 88, died Tuesday, April 14, 1992, in Presbyterian Manor, Kansas City, Kan.

The daughter of Charles S. and Lona Edith Smith Lanphere, she was born June 19, 1903, in Osawatomie. She attended Osawatomie schools and was a 1921 graduate of Osawatomie High School.

She was a registered nurse and worked for the Visiting Nurses Association for 25 years before retiring in 1986.

Mrs. Martin was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Kansas City, Kan., and was an ordained elder in the church.

Her husband, James W. Martin, died in 1957.

Survivors include a brother, Roy Lanphere, Ballwin, Mo., and a sister, Ruth Coker, Paola.

Visitation was held from 3 until 5 p.m. Wednesday in Porter and Son Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kan.

Memorials have been established in her name to Presbyterian Manor and the church.
