Chicago, Ill. - - Mrs. Osa Hughes Hayes, a native of Osawatomie, Kan. died Feb. 24,1974 in a nursing home here. Services were held for Mrs. Hayes, 96, in the Metropolitan Church of Chicago Friday.

Born Jan. 2, 1878, she was the daughter of Harriet Greenlee and John Hughes. She was a 1896 graduate of Osawatomie High School.

She married David Hayes in St. Louis, Mo.,and they made their home here since their marriage. He preceded his wife in death.

Mrs. Hayes was a member of the Metropolitan Church and of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Hazle Martin, Osawatomie, and a brother, Lawrence Denton, Wichita, Kan.
